NEW YORK (PIX11) – Plans are in motion to build a new tallest skyscraper in the United States, potentially taking the title away from the World Trade Center in New York City.
Developers said the Boardwalk at Bricktown skyscraper in Oklahoma City would reach 1,907 feet. Originally, the real estate developer and AO Architecture said the tower would be 1,750 feet, which would make it the second tallest building in the U.S.
If the structure gets the green light, it will be the fifth tallest building in the world. According to the developers, the Bricktown tower would host almost 1,800 residential units, two Hyatt hotels, condos, commercial and community space spanning 5,000,000 square feet.
The top floors would include a restaurant, a bar and observation deck.
Developers are waiting for officials to resign the property for the project.
